Avengers: Endgame marks the end of the Infinity Saga and the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2008’s Iron Man. A lot of fans are already wondering what’s going to happen next in the franchise that has already made several billion at the worldwide box office. We think that Marvel Studios might aim to go back to where Marvel crossovers began: Secret Wars.
We think that Marvel Studios will go with the original Secret Wars from 1984 and not the event of the same name from 2015. The reasons for this are mostly that the latter is a lot more complex and might create some problems for more casual viewers. We’re not saying it won’t ever happen, just not any time soon.

Joe and Anthony Russo have said on several occasions that they would be down to return for a Secret Wars film, though there’s no telling whether Marvel Studios would actually give such a film to the two directors. Still, they’ve definitely got experience with major crossovers. It’s also entirely possible that something else will serve as the basis for the next major movie crossover.
